Acetic acid technical purposes

Acetic acid of technical type (CH3COOH) is a colorless, highly flammable liquid with acrid smell, well soluble in water. Technical acetic acid has high corrosive activity which is strengthened by contact with air. Acetic acid and its derivatives are widely applied in various industrial spheres. Acetic acid in great volumes is used in the production of cellulose acetate (which is the source material for acetate fiber, plastic materials, lacquers, non-inflammable film, etc.); it is used as an acetylated agent while obtaining subproducts in fine organic synthesis; it is used in textile industry, as well as for obtainment of the derivatives. Among acetic acid salts (acetates) the following have most value: sodium acetate, which is used in dying and printing of fabrics, in various spheres of fine organic synthesis, etc.

Acetic acid 99.5% GOST

A good solvent and chemical reagent for synthesis of other substances. It is actively used in the production of salts and esters, acetic anhydride, acetyl chloride, colorings, insecticides, as a lacquer and paint solvent, as well as a latex coagulant.
